On Sunday 9th February 2025, the Friends of Park Place met after Mass for their AGM. It was well attended by Friends and well-wishers. The Chair-person of the Friends Committee, Rosie Scott, welcomed all and gave a brief report for the Year 2024. It included all the Fundraising events that were held during the Year in order to support the Sisters’ projects around the world for people in need.

She then invited Sister Sarita, who represented the Sisters, to give her report. This was followed by Sister Evelyn who invited Lawrence Keys to speak about the progress made on the Chalet (former Chaplain’s residence). She also mentioned that all funds received from the Friends would be divided among the various projects for Brazil, Tanzania and India. There was a brief discussion about the new Website too, which was appreciated by all.

This was followed by the report of the Treasurer, Ann Younger and later by our News Editor, Lois Tarbett. There was a suggestion that the Newsletter of the Friends could appear on the website for a wider audience. On the whole, it was a very fruitful meeting where many new ideas emerged about future events. The meeting was concluded by Rosie Scott by thanking everyone who attended, as well as those who participated in various events.
